When we met a difficulty / I’m proud of myself
Everyone had a difficult time sometime in his life. So did I. However, I ’m not afraid of meeting difficulties. I was poor at Maths and found no way to learn it well. So I tried my best to listen to the teacher carefully and kept myself doing some practice every day. What’s more, I told myself to be confident and took it easy. After overcoming it, I felt so proud of myself and made up my mind to learn it better and better!
6. An exciting trip to Century Park
Last Friday, we gathered in the school early to have a trip to Century Park.
It was a sunny day and we felt very excited. We got to the Century Park at about 10:00 a.m. First, we visited the wonderful flower show there. The flowers were so beautiful that everybody enjoyed themselves. At lunch time, we had a picnic together happily. Then we went boating on the lake. That was full of fun. We came back to the school late in the afternoon.
The outing was truly exciting and unforgettable. I think it will remain in my mind forever. My best Friend
I have many friends. My best friend is Gary. We are in the same class. We go to school together every morning. His favourite subject at school is maths. He usually helps me with my maths after class. At weekends, we play chess and tennis together. He is also keen on tennis.
In addition, he is very kind and lovely. Whenever I am in trouble, he always helps me. I think we ’ll be good friends forever.
My Dream
My dream is to be a doctor in the future. My parents are both doctors. They are always kind to their patients. They have saved many people’s lives. I am very proud of them. So I want to be a doctor like my parents. If my dream comes true, I will make sick people feel better. From now on, I will study hard and try my best to realize my dream.
Numbers in Our Daily Life
Numbers play an important role in our daily life. We can find numbers any time and anywhere each day. Firstly, in our class, we can use numbers to calculate the percentage and square root. Secondly, when we do some shopping, we use numbers to calculate how much money we should pay. Thirdly, we also use numbers when we make phone calls, play games, and even sing songs.
Numbers are very useful and they’re everyone’s language.
An unforgettable experience
Last summer I had an unforgettable experience that I climbed Mount Huang with my dad. I felt excited because it was the first time for me to climb a mountain.
At first, I hiked so quickly that my dad couldn’t follow up me. But after a while, I was too tired to go on. I wanted to give up because it seemed impossible for me to reach the top of the mountain. Just then, my dad said, smiling: “No pain, no gain. You must not give up, or you’ll never succeed.” He encouraged me and I stood up, rushing towards my goal. Finally, I made it! I was really amazed!
The unforgettable experience taught me a lesson that I would never succeed if I give up easily.
My weekend plan
I will feel excited when each weekend is coming because I can do many things that I like to do, such as visiting my grandparents, playing basketball and seeing films. However, this coming weekend is a little special because I will spend the two days with my parents in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is my mother’s hometown. We are going to walk by the West Lake, go boating and have dinner there. We are also going to visit the old house which my mum used to live in. I think I will have a wonderful weekend and know more about the history of the city.
The person I admire most
The person I admire most is my mother, who loves me most and plays an important role in my life.
I admire her most because she is not only kind but also patient. When I meet difficulties in my life, she always encourages me to overcome them.
She is also a hardworking woman. She is a good teacher at school and she teaches very well. What ’s more, she also does all of the housework carefully at home. Although she is very tired, she never complains.
All in all, my mother is the person I admire most in my heart. And as a reward, I will try my best to make her be proud of me.
23. A learning experience
I used to be poor at English so it was very difficult for me to remember new words. I tried many ways but I always failed. I wanted to give up. However, one day our teacher taught us a new way which could help us. I tried it and it really worked. I could remember the word easily by this way. I became confident because I got success at last.
I have learnt a lot from this experience. Sometimes, it’s more important for us to find a suitable learning way than just working hard.
How to be a Good Learner
Nowadays, knowledge is becoming more and more important in our daily life. So it is necessary for me to develop good habits to be a good learner. Firstly, I will make a reasonable plan and carry it out. What’s more, when I meet difficulties, I will try my best to overcome them or ask my teachers for help. Finally, working hard is also needed. If I have these good habits, I believe I will surely be a good learner.
My Views on Computers
In my opinion, computers have changed our life a lot. By using a computer, I can send e-mails, learn English and so on. Besides, it also enriches my spare time. When I am free, I can play some games for fun. What’s more, it widens my mind and shortens the distance between people. To sum up, computers have brought me much convenience and fun.
